Role Summary
The PRO ALLY Extern ( Administrative & Partnership) role is designed for an ambitious early-career professional interested in exposure to energy, ESG, stragetic communication, and media publication.
The Extern will play a key role in ensuring smooth day-to-day coordination of internal and outreach activities, and operational support while gaining practical exposure to Africa’s energy and extractive ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administrative Coordination & Daily Operations
- Coordinate daily administrative activities across PRO ALLY initiatives.
- Ensure timely documentation of meetings, discussions, and decisions.
- Support scheduling and calendar management.
- Maintain organized records and filing systems across SharePoint and internal platforms
2. Energy Stories Media Partnership Coordination
- Support identification and outreach to potential media partners.
- Track partnership conversations and engagement status.
- Coordinate follow-up communications with media / partner organisations.
3. Event Partnership Outreach
- Support mapping of relevant industry events, conferences, and forums.
- Maintain event partnership trackers and outreach databases.
- Support relationship management with event partners.
4. Interview Outreach & Stakeholder Engagement
- Support identification of industry leaders, experts, and professionals for interviews.
- Coordinate interview invitation and scheduling processes.
- Support guest preparation and communication prior to interviews.
5. Digital & Social Media Coordination
- Support digital campaigns for our social initiatives
- Coordinate social media content, announcements, and engagement strategies
- Collaborate with design teams to improve visibility and audience engagement
Required Skills & Competencies
- Written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational and administrative abilities.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong internet research capabilities.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
- Familiarity with Linkedin, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
Preferred Qualifications
- Ongoing Degree or recently graduated in Energy, STEM, or other subjects. (Without NYSC)
- A digital nomad with creative skills in still and dynamic tech-enabled video creation
Learning Outcome: At the end of the externship, participants will gain practical experience in communications knowledge management, stakeholder engagement, energy sector research and project coordination.
